Feel Good Story: Homecoming Queen Kicks Game-Winning Field Goal

And it’s GOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!

Kaylee Foster is why we’re feeling good this morning.  She’s a high school senior in Mississippi, and was named her school’s Homecoming Queen on Friday before the school’s homecoming football game.

Foster, who has been the team’s placekicker since her sophomore year could have already chalked the night up as a win with her earning the coveted crown for homecoming, but her night only got better.

Not only did her team WIN their homecoming game, Kaylee kicked the game-winning field goal!

Kaylee had mainly played soccer, so kicking comes fairly easily.  She had made two field goals during the game, and when it went into overtime, she kicked for the extra point to help her team win, 13 – 12.

When asked if she was more nervous about the naming of the homecoming queen or the homecoming game, she said neither.  Turns out she was pretty sure she was NOT going to be crowned Homecoming Queen, but she KNEW she’d nail all her field goals and extra points.

Slay Queen, Slay!!
