Heroes lean in to help others, often times without a second thought.
Tech Sergeant Ken O’Brien is a hero, multiple times over.
A member of the Special Ops rescue branch of the Air Force, Sergeant O’Brien was one of the divers who helped rescue those kids in Thailand (the young soccer team) who had become trapped in a flooded cave, and saves a Thai Navy SEAL’s life during the rescue, too.
O’Brien was also part of a security detail during the President’s Korean summit and, while in South Korea, pulled someone from a burning car!
As heroic as Sergeant O’Brien is, these actions are all part of his call of duty, and his bravery doesn’t go unnoticed.
He was en route to receive an award for his heroic acts when, as a civilian, he became a hero again once again
During his flight out of Japan, Sergeant O’Brien saved ANOTHER life!
There was a one year old on the flight who had started choking, then stopped breathing. Ken leaves his seat . . . walks up to the toddler . . . cleared the baby’s airway . . . performed resuscitation techniques . . . handed the little one back to the parents . . . and walks back to his seat like it’s no big deal.
This guy took a DNA test, turns out he’s 100% that HERO!!
Hoe does this real life superhero always seem to be in the right place at the right time?
Because he’s the right person, saying “If someone needs to go do something dangerous [or someone needs help], I volunteer. If someone needs a leader, I volunteer.”
