Dan Cote of Woonsocket, Rhode Island knows first hand that acts of kindness go a long way.
Growing up in foster families and group homes, Dan faced many challenges in life, but thanks to genuine connections with kind-hearted people, he was give opportunities to grow through the years.
Dan went from working third shift positions to becoming the general manager at a local Planet Fitness gym.
That’s where he met C.J. Wagner, a 22 year old man with down syndrome and a big passion for fitness.
One day recently, Dan noticed C.J. didn’t have sneakers on and was forced to change-up his routine workout.
Knowing how important C.J.’s typical workouts were to the 22 year old, Dan ran down the street and bough C.J. a brand new pair of kicks so he could get his workout on.
Of the kind gesture, Dan shares, “One kind thing a day . . . would just change this life.”
