Feel Good Story: Gas Station Owner Helps Hungry Would-Be Thief

When Jay Singh moved to the U.S. from India about 12 years ago and took ownership of a 7-Eleven in Toledo, OH, he figured he’d have to be aware for theft, but nothing prepared him for this . . .

Jay noticed a kid acting suspicious, and told one of his employees to call 911 when he realized the kids was trying to steal stuff.

The kid asked if he could just put the stuff back in leave, but Jay told him to put everything he was trying to steal on the counter.

After realizing everything the kid was trying to steal was all food, Jay asked why.

The kid said he was just hungry and trying to get food for his little brother, too.

Jay decided to tell the police not to come, and instead, filled a whole bag with food and gave it to the kid.

There was another customer present who said the whole exchange was an emotional one, and had to share the story on Facebook.
