Feel Good Story: First Responders Help Family When Minivan Runs Out of Gas on Way to Hospital

First responders are not only some of the bravest people on Earth, many of them are also the kindest.

A Florida family was on their way to the hospital when their van broke down.

The family of four were trying to rush one of their loved ones to the hospital during a medical emergency, and their van totally went kaput on the side of the road. Turns out, the vehicle issue was that the gas tank was empty and there was a flat tire.

Florida firefighters were called to the scene to help; and after treating the ailing family member on site and having them transported to the hospital, the rest of the family was still stuck on the side of the road.

A few of the first responders, Captain Dennis Noble and firefighters Joe Clark and Duane Norman were ready and willing to go above their call of duty to offer some extra help.

Rather than leave the other family members to deal with a van that had no more gas and a rapidly deflating tire, the trio of firefighters pushed the minivan all the way to the nearest gas station, about a quarter mile away.

That’s not all . . .

Once at the gas station, the firefighters paid to fill up the gas tank after learning they didn’t have any money, and even fixed the flat tire.

The Hernando County Fire Rescue Facebook Page posted a great photo of the three kind humans . . .
