One Clarksville kid’s love for aviation is turning into a kind-hearted opportunity to help members of the homeless community.
Colt Bryant (9), along with his sister Mackynzie (7), are making and selling paper airplanes and using the money to help others.
Their mom, Kacie Bryant shared with WKRN, “I think it’s really important as grown-ups and parents we teach our kids to be entrepreneurs [and] not just make a paycheck, but how to use your brains and think outside the box.”
The sibling duo are selling two different types of paper airplanes, ninja stars, and paper wallets, with 50 cents of each sale going to the local non-profit group YAIPak Outreach — who aims to help members of the homeless community by providing basic life necessities and resources, and leading members to recovery.
YAIPak Outreach founder Sherry Nicholson shares, “Colt’s paper airplanes [have] been inspiring to see a little boy with a big heart to help impact other children whose hearts are hurting because of their situations.” Sherry continues, “His acts of kindness is something that we hope everyone can learn from no matter how simple the gesture is.”
