Feel Good Story: Chiefs Player Celebrates Super Bowl by Helping Dogs Find Homes

FUR BABIES!!!

Love this story so much!

Defensive lineman Derrick Nnadi may be coming off a massive celebration with the big W from Sunday night’s Big Game . . . and he know just how keep all those feels feelin’ good!

The Kansas City Chiefs player has been working with a group called the Kansas City Pet Project — which helps care for thousands of shelter animals each year. It’s something the Super Bowl champ has been doing all season.

With every W the Chiefs took home, Derrick would pay a fur baby’s adoption fee to encourage more to adopt. The average fee runs about $150 . . . and the chiefs won 15 games . . . we’re looking at roughly $2.300 in adoption fees covered.

Well, to celebrate his team making it into the Super Bowl, Derrick paid ALL of the adoption fees for the dogs the Kansas City Pet Project had.

Covering the cost of adoption fees for over a hundred dogs, he’s helping so many get adopted a lot quicker than they would have been otherwise. It’s estimated Derrick covered somewhere between $10,000 and $30,000!

Derrick shared he’d always wanted a dog as a kid, but was never able to get one. Now, he gets involved by helping as many dogs as he can.
