Feel Good Story: Chick-fil-A Opens on a Sunday to Fulfill 14 Year Old’s Birthday Wish

When a 14 year old with autism wanted to help run a Chick-fil-A drive-thru, it didn’t matter that his birthday was on a Sunday, one Mobile, Alabama store was more than happy to oblige.

Elijah Sprague got to make his wish come true when his local Chick-fil-A opened their doors on the day their usually closed, to allow the birthday boy to run the drive-thru where he passed out cookies.

Once finished, participants went inside the fast food restaurant for a festive cookie cake to further celebrate the teen.

Elijah’s mom Rene posted to her Facebook, “The way people love this kid amazes me. It has truly changed the way I live my life. Loving people with your whole heart, [judgments] aside and with no anticipation of rewards. Thank you to every single person that loves our Elijah.”
