A little human with a big heart, Weston Newswanger, was about to embark on his fifth birthday . . . something that – once upon a time – seemed like would never happen.
Weston, who had been battling Rhabdomyosarcoma (a cancer that forms malignant cells in the muscles), had been cancer free for the last two years.
He wanted to donate his 5th birthday to kids currently struggling with cancer and other illnesses at Hershey Med Children’s Hospital . . . by collecting and gifting numerous toys.
The call for donations brought in a vast collection of Play-Doh tubs, dinosaur toys, superhero action figures and more.
With the help of an organization called Child Life, Weston was able to make his birthday celebration for others a reality.
