As adults, a lot of us don’t practice gratitude as much as we should . . . but, at eight years old, one young lady is doing circles around us in the gratitude department!
Zoe Figueroa, who lives just outside San Diego, has been battling cancer.
She was diagnosed with stage-four neuroblastoma, a form of cancer that has to do with nerve cells and can be quite aggressive.
Just recently, Zoe had her final treatment with her cancer now in remission.
As if that’s not enough to put a smile on our faces, we’re reminded that the Feel Good Story is typically about people helping people, and other stories along the lines of kindness, patience and selflessness.
And Zoe’s story isn’t done yet!
Earlier this month, Zoe celebrated her birthday. When he mom asked what she wanted for her birthday, Zoe replied that she already had everything she needs.
Therefore, Zoe wanted to donate all of her birthday gifts to the various hospitals that treated her so other kids could have them.
Her family threw a big party the other week and raised about $750 for cancer charities, and her guests brought over TWO HUNDRED toys to be donated to the hospitals.
Zoe is an example of pure love and kindness for others,
