Feel Good Story: Bullied UT Fan Gets Scholarship

Remember the fourth grader in Florida who went to school on “College Colors” day in an orange tee shirt with a self-made logo to rep his love for the University of Tennessee, but some classmates totally picked on him . . . then UT sent university swag to him and his classmates AND created a shirt that looked like the student’s DIY shirt and made the apparel available for purchase with a portion of proceeds going to an anti-bullying foundation?

Well, we have an update . . . and it is GOOD!!

Well, that shirt is a hot item with “more than 50,000 shirts featuring the [student’s] design have been pre-sold by the VolShop . . . [and] all of the proceeds from the shirts will go directly to the charity Stomp Out Bullying.”

But wait . . . there’s more!

The university announced in a press release that they have extended an offer of admission for the fourth grader with a four-year scholarship!!

Should he choose to attend UT, and meet the admission requirements, the school will begin covering his tuition and fees beginning in the fall of 2028.
