Feel Good Story: Brothers Deliver Roses to Widows and Military Spouses for Valentine’s Day

The only people who tend to like Valentine’s Day are those who have someone to share it with, but for many, it can be a very lonely holiday.

A fact Seth Stewart (28) is fully aware of, and that’s why he’s spent the last seven years making sure local widows, single women and military spouses in the Spokane, Washington area still feel the love.

On Valentine’s Day, Seth and his brothers deliver a single red rose to all the homes of women who have lost their spouses or have a loved one overseas on deployment.

While Seth keeps a running list of all the women and mothers he delivers to, he also spends the weeks leading up to Valentine’s Day asking those on Facebook to send him any more names of women who might need a little reminder that they are loved, and adds them to his list.

Seth shares, “Every single year we do this, there are always one or two women who break down sobbing because it means so much to them.”

The brothers deliver around 400 – 500 roses each year with the help of a delivery driving team and hope to be able to deliver many more single red roses in the years to come.
