Feel Good Story: Boxes of Toys Start Appearing After Little Boy’s Belongings Burn in California Wildfire

While those wildfires were terrorizing California, especially the Camp Fire that wrecked Paradise, California.

Riley Wooten is a 4 year old that literally had to run from his home with his grandma and dog as their house quickly went up in flames.

While he did manage to grab his favorite toy, a dinosaur named Chompy, but had to leave behind everything else . . . including his prized dino collection.

Riley and his family made it safely out of town, but in the aftermath, a lot of friends and family had been asking what they could do to help.

Riley’s great aunt, Tanya Renfro, put up a post on Facebook with hopes that maybe someone could send Riley another toy dinosaur or two. She even included a photo of her great nephew in his halloween costume dressed as a triceratops.

Only days later, Riley started receiving boxes on top of boxes of dinosaur goodies, like dino-themed blankets, pillowcases, movies, books, lamps and more. All from friends, family and even strangers!

Turns out, some of Great Aunt Tanya’s FB friends shared the post. “All my friends shared my Facebook post and people were like, ‘Oh my gosh, give me that baby’s address,'” the loving aunt shares, and continued, “Some days, we’d get five packages.”

“The outpouring has been amazing. I can’t even describe how much the community has come together to help. Everybody lost everything, nobody had time to get their things.” tells Tanya.
