Feel Good Story: Blind Footballer Scores Two Touchdowns

Our hearts are soaring!

There’s a young man, Adonis Watt, who’s a running back for his Phoenix high school’s freshman football team . . .   and he’s totally blind.

Adonis was diagnosed with glaucoma at a very young age, and completely lost his vision a few years ago.

Earlier in the month, during a game, Adonis brought the ball in for a touchdown, but wasn’t as thrilled as everyone else about it.  No one from the other team even tried to tackle him.

Sure, it was kind of the other team to allow him to carry the ball in, given his handicap, but, that’s not what Adonis wanted.  He doesn’t want any gimmes.  Adonis wants to score for real, or not score at all.

For their next game, Adonis’ coach made sure the other team’s defense knew not to take it easy on Adonis; and they didn’t.

The other team tried to tackle Adonis, but he broke through to score two LEGIT touchdowns in the game.  One, he punched in from the one yard line, and the other he ran in from the three yard line.

Football isn’t Adonis’ only interest, though.  He’s on the school wrestling team, plays piano, AND does charity work to help others in the blind community.

Check out a PHOTO of Adonis with his team HERE.

This high school freshman is why we’re feeling good today.  Let’s pay it forward, and lean in on helping and encouraging each other.
