Feel Good Story: Bikers Who Care Surprise Six Year Old en Route to Pre-Op Appointment

We love positive news stories of people helping people (or fur babies), and otherwise just taking a moment out of their day to offer kindness to another.

We get absolutely giddy when that story happens right here in Beaver Country.

Today, we HAD to feature the story about a 6 year old who had the surprise of his life, all thanks to Bikers Who Care (BWC).

Grayson Smith (6) was born with a one-of-a-kind genetic disorder and has already undergone 37 surgeries, but continues to defy the odds. Doctors never even expected him to make it to his first birthday.

With another surgery on the way, Grayson had a “before surgery bucket like,” that included seeing a “bunch of motorcycles,” and the BWC were all to happy to help check off that item from his list.

Grayson had no idea what he was in for when his parents made a pit stop at a gas station in Clarksville during their trip form Alabama to St. Louis for a pre-surgery appointment . . . and there were some motorcycles that came up . . . not knowing those bikers were about to escort him to a BIG SURPRISE.

The 6 year old noticed the bikers in front of his family’s car and was intrigued as to where they might be going.

That’s when they came up to a ROAR of engines at Appleton Harley-Davidson.

A bunch of motorcycles had lined up in the parking lot to give Grayson an experience he’ll never forget.
