Feel Good Story: Beaver Country Residents Payoff Over 300 Layaway Accounts at Local Walmart

Of course this is our Feel Good Story today!

There have been a lot of Secret Santas in the news lately, and how they’re spreading kindness and good cheer this season by walking into Walmart stores all over the country and paying off people’s layaway items.

Kind people and celebrities are all getting in on the holiday giving.

Just recently, a couple Secret Santas walked into the Walmart on Fort Campbell Blvd right here in Beaver Country.

Their names: Rex and Kendra Hawkins of Hawkins Homes.

The couple had caught wind of others helping out with paying off layaway items, and most recently of singer Kid Rock and actor/producer Tyler Perry. They wanted to help, too.

Rex shares, “We chose the Fort Campbell Walmart due to the particular location having high military presence in hopes of helping our service members and their family members during the holidays. . .  We felt like the Lord laid it on us to do the same thing.”
