Feel Good Story: Bachelorette Party Brings Supplies to the Bahamas After Hurricane Dorian

Imagine planning a destination bachelorette party to the Bahamas, finalizing plans, and then just before the trip is about to happen, Hurricane Dorian hits.

Most people may swap out their plans — go somewhere else, stay local for the bach party, or maybe just reschedule the whole thing altogether.

That wasn’t the case for Rikki Kahley (24), though — a bride from Georgia.

The resort the group had booked ended up not being affected by the storm, so the trip was sill on as planned.

Until Rikki realized just how many people in the Bahamas were affected by the hurricane, and decided this was a chance to help others.

Rikki and her friends turned to social media to ask for donations to take with them during their travels — like canned food, clothing, etc.

Last week was the trip and, with the help of donations from others, the bach crew were able to take FORTY SUITCASES filled with supplies and needs to help others.

How much did it cost to take all of that extra luggage?  Not. A. Thing.

Delta waived the extra baggage fees!

But wait, there’s more . . .

The party actually had so many donations that they weren’t even able to travel with everything, and are shipping the rest.
