One guy’s day gone wrong could have cost him his job, but a kind stranger jumped in to help before even learning the full story . . .
A delivery guy named Rayden Jones, who works for a pizza shop in Michigan, was making his rounds when he ran into a school for a couple minutes to deliver some ‘za when his car was stolen, leaving him stranded and unable to do his job.
The woman who stole the vehicle, later identified to struggle with mental health issues, was seen by another driver, Kevin Lindke, who was on his way home from work when he noticed the car swerving . . . and then taking the wrong ramp onto a freeway.
Kevin immediately called 911 to report the dangerously driven vehicle as he followed the car, relaying the information and describing the whole situation to dispatchers, before the woman crashed into another vehicle.
The woman took off on foot while Kevin went chasing after her — eventually catching her and was able to convince her to stay and wait for the police to arrive.
Later on, law enforcement relayed to Kevin the woman had stolen the car from a gentleman delivering pizzas at a local school. Immediately realizing a stolen and crashed car meant the hard-working delivery man just lost his mode of transportation, and inability to do his job, Kevin decided to reach out to Rayden to donate his minivan, which he’d planned to sell anyway.
The good Samaritan turned “Godsend” not only leaned in to help a complete stranger, he turned a crummy situation into a heart-felt moment of kindness to help another.
