Feel Good Story: 8 Year Old Donates Birthday to Shelter Dogs & Cats

While most 8-year-olds would be creating a birthday wish list pages long, one young lady donated her birthday to help her local animal shelter.

Adisynn Kiker told her friends and family that what she really wanted for her birthday was food to help supply the local shelter and help the rescue pets.  Her wish was put on Facebook, and the kindness in her heart touched hundreds of others who wanted to help.

The result?   The rescue shelter, the Humane Society of Cedar Creek Lake, received over 12,000 pounds of donated dog and cat food.  They also received almost 600 pounds of kitty-litter and cleaning supplies.

Check out the photos from the Humane Society of Cedar Creek Lake’s Facebook Page.
