Feel Good Story: 50 Years Later, Man Marries Childhood Crush

OK, cue the collective Awwwwwws.

Eric Bogliani is a man in his 60s, living in England.

When he was 7, he met his older sister’s friend named Elaine, who was 9 at the time. Eric quickly developed a secret crush on his sister’s friend, but his mom thought the age difference was inappropriate and urged her young son to squash his feelings.

Now, both in their 60s, that two year age game doesn’t seem so daunting.  Eric and Elaine reconnected on Facebook, hit it off, started dating, and recently got hitched!

Oh, but wait, there’s more . . .

The school in England they both attended has now become a community center, that is also a licensed wedding venue – – – and that is where they GOT MARRIED!!

What once was a forbidden love turned into a happy ending, 50 years later for the happy newlyweds.
