Feel Good Story: 2 Year Old Overcomes the Odds and Learns to Walk

In news that is inspiring and encouraging others, a 2 year old boy overcame his obstacles and has learned to walk.

Roman Dinkel was diagnosed with spina bifida after an ultrasound at 20 weeks in utero.  Spina bifida is a defect in an embryo’s developing spine.

Despite the odds, Roman’s parents were determined to persevere, and the little one had his first surgery before he was born to help increase his chances of being able to walk.

Of her child learning to walk, Roman’s mama says, “I had to let him fall a few times so he’d know I wouldn’t be there to catch him, and he had to learn how to catch himself.”

So, when Roman finally did walk after a few days of practicing, you better believe he couldn’t wait to show off his new skill to his best friend, the family dog, Maggie.

So here’s your quick reminder to NEVER GIVE UP, courtesy of our 2 year old hero, Roman Dinkel.
