When it comes to kindness, teachers and staff at the Welder Elementary School in Sinton, Texas and teaching their students that it starts with them.
It’s the school’s “Be Kind” campaign, with the word KIND spelled out on a wall, but the “I” is missing.
This is so kids can put themselves in the middle as the “I” to understand their role in spreading kindness.
Of the campaign’s efforts, Principal Luci Rodriguez shared, “We need them to learn to make really good choices because it’s the right thing to do, and it starts with being kind to others.
Principal Rodriguez continues, “We’re trying to recognize the good things, the good choices that our kids are making.”
