A new list shows the most popular ’90s TV sitcoms by each state, and both Kentucky & Tennessee agree, “Saved by the Bell” is KING!!! (Raised hands emoji)
A website compiled the list using a data search from Google Trends from the last 14 years.
“Friends” was most popular overall with 13 states – SD, NE, MN, KS, IL, IA, WY, TX, NJ, CO, AZ, VT and HI.
“The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” comes in second with 5 states loving it most – GA, NC, SC, MD, and DC. (Yes, Washington DC was counted as it’s own state for this report)
“That ’70s Show” was the top pick for WI, ID and MT.
“Everybody Loves Raymond” took the top slot in states like, CT, AR and IN.
“The King of Queens” walked away with the title for NH, MO and MI.
“Frasier” won WA, OK and AK.
“Saved By the Bell” is big in TN, KY, and also included are the folks in AL.
“The Simpsons” is most popular in CA, VA and OR. (Though VA is Fletch’s home state, he never got into “The Simpsons.”
Of course the homers in Cleveland pushed “The Drew Carey Show” to the top for OH.
Other sitcoms on the list are – “The Nanny,” “Sabrina the Teenage Witch,” “Seinfeld,” “Third Rock from the Sun,” “Boy Meets World,” “Family Matters,” “Full House,” “Home Improvement,” “Roseanne,” “Will & Grace,” and “Step by Step.”
