Dolly Parton to Remake 9 to 5

38 years later, it’s finally happening!

Dolly Parton, along with Lily Tomlin Jane Fonda, have always discussed the thought of remaking their 1980 comedy “9 to 5,” and now there’s a plan in the works… and the original trio are involved! (raised hands emoji)

The fierce ladies will join a new cast of young women as they navigate chauvinism and sexual harassment at work.

On the upcoming project, Dolly says, “The new idea looked like it was going to bring new girls in. And they come to find us to get input on how they should help run the business … Jane, Lily, me, I told them, ‘Better get after it. It’s going to be 95 before 9 to 5.’”

Rumors are Parks & Recreation star Rashida Jones has been tapped to write the new script
