Dolly Is Going In The Rock And Roll Of Fame

After being nominated and gracefully bowing out, then she changed her mine and said she would accept the induction, Dolly Parton will be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame class of 2022.

When the nominees came out, Dolly was quick to back out stating she didn’t want to split the vote from artists who actually deserve to be there.  Then several weeks later, Dolly came out with another statement saying she would be happy to accept the induction. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation stated the Hall of Fame has roots to R&B and Country music.  Although, she may have never written a Rock and Roll song, her music influenced so many artists in the Rock and Roll genre, according to CBS News.

The 2022 Class is a very diverse group, Dolly will be joined by Rapper Eminem, Lionel Richie, Pat Benatar, Duran Duran, The Eurythmics, and Carly Simon.

I understand the argument people have of non-traditional Rock and Roll artists being inducted into the Hall of Fame.  But people seem to forget that every genre of music had its influences and Dolly was a huge part of that.

Dolly, we are happy you were nominated and accepted the induction.  It is well deserved.  Now the question is, when will we see and Eminem and Dolly collaboration?
