Clarksville police holiday checkpoint, saturation patrol results

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.- The Clarksville Police Department released the results from the checkpoint and impaired driving saturation patrols over the holiday weekend. The check point was held on highway 41-A by pass on December 30 11 p.m. until 1 a.m. Clarksville police stopped a total of 183 vehicles out of 333 that went through the check point. There was a total of 173 individuals who were cited. The charges included the following:

  • 37 Insurance Law
  • 1 Following to Close
  • 3 Traffic Signals/Signs
  • 1 Warrants
  • 8 Simple Poss.
  • 5 U.P.D.
  • 1 P.I.
  • 4 Other Charges: Open Container, I.C., Evading, Curfew Violation
