Clarksville drops to #3 on this list!

According to Opendoor.com, here’s the latest list on hottest zip codes in the U.S., Clarksville was knocked out of the #1 positions by Cypress, TX and fell to #3.

We know what you are thinking, “What?  No way!”

What did buyers want in a home this year? Many buyers wanted convenient locations and turnkey homes plus a town that was below the national average cost of living.

Clarksville is good, but apparently cost of living is lower in Cypress, TX.

Potential homeowners wanted towns with convenient amenities and didn’t want the congestion of bigger cities. Price also continues to be a major factor in many people’s decision to move to a different area!

In addition to the top markets, Opendoor.com also looked for the hidden gems – neighborhoods under the radar – by examining where new listings increased from January to November 2023.

Clarksville has a ton of hidden gems…from Dunbar Cave to the Greenway and Blueway!  The City Forum, to Johnny’s Big Burger, Strawberry Alley, to Old Glory and the many breweries here.

What is the common denominator of every single city on this list? Affordability, Desirability, and Availability. The trend these days is to embrace of a different lifestyle through downsizing, getting rid of things and acquiring fewer things, reducing spending, or resizing their homes.

Many of these great cities have more opportunity than you might think. These cities have smaller populations than big cities but are growing rapidly because they are very accessible to major cities. We all know it’s only a hop skip and a jump to Nashville from Clarksville.
