Cell Phone Use While Driving Is Up 46%

If you’re behind the wheel, GET OFF YOUR PHONE!!

Yes, we all know how dangerous distracted driving is, yet it’s not stopping many of us from doing it. Actually, it’s gotten worse. Cell phone usage is up 46% since 2013*.

And we’re not talking about a hands-free-blue-tooth phone call here. We’re talking about actually using the phone, sending texts, emails, and letting our FOMO get the best of us and getting on social media while driving.

So yeah, in the past five years, we’ve acknowledged just how dangerous it is to use our phones while driving, but many still think it doesn’t apply to them.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen a friend post a video to social media while driving because they’re kid “was just being so cute in the backseat.” Yeah, distracted driving WITH THE KIDS IN THE CAR!

Before I get off my soapbox, one more thought….  PUT THE DAMN PHONE DOWN!
