Body of Craig Morgan’s son found after accident on Tenn. lake

HUMPHREYS COUNTY, Tenn. (WKRN) – The son of country singer Craig Morgan was found dead Monday night after an accident on Kentucky Lake in Humphreys county. Jerry Greer, 19, was reportedly tubing with another person Sunday near Masons Boat Dock around 4 p.m. when they hit a wave and fell into the water. While the other person was able to get back onto the boat, Greer did not resurface despite wearing a life jacket. Officials with at least 30 different law enforcement agencies aided in a two-day search, spanning close to 10 acres of property. They used a helicopter, nearly two dozen boats, and around 80 people to assist in the search. Greer’s body was recovered before 9 p.m. Monday. A witness told News 2 he was still wearing his life jacket. The local community also came to help by supporting the search efforts and providing food and water for those involved. The Morgan family previously said they are grateful for everyone’s support and prayers during this time. Greer recently graduated from Dickson County High School.
