When Blake Shelton returned to Oklahoma City over the weekend to kick off his fall tour, he didn’t just wow the more than 22,000 fans in attendance at the Chesapeake Energy Arena; he also made a donation of $600,000 to the Jimmy Everest Children’s Hospital. While on stage during one of the concerts, Shelton highlighted the work the local hospital does to help children facing diseases such as cancer or blood disorders. Blake told the crowd, “They don’t turn any kids away. You come in there, you have a problem, they don’t turn anybody away, so I thought ‘That’s a place that needs some money.’ Let’s all do the right thing. This is our money, Oklahoma.” The weekend was also full of surprises as Gwen Stefani joined Shelton on stage to sing their duet “Go Ahead And Break My Heart.”
