No Batman Batarangs On Airplanes The TSA advises that U.S. travelers should refrain from carrying Batman batarangs in their carry on luggage. The popularity of the Batman movies has caused numerous batarangs to show up in carry on bags, and the throwing stars are taken from passengers who attempt to carry them on board. The reason, says the TSA, is that passengers are not allowed to bring anyone on a plane that might be taken for a weapon, and the batarangs fit into that description. The note, however, that they can be packed in luggage that will be checked.
