Are We Actually Living in 2012, Not 2020?

There is a meme floating around online regarding the whole “end of the world” thing and, while super dark, it’s not not a little humorous.  It went along the lines of “You know how they claimed the world was supposed to end in 2012? Well what if these they people were dyslexic and they actually meant 2021!”

Well . . . what about June 21, 2020?

There’s a scientist in Knoxville, Tennessee who tweeted — then deleted — a different theory on the calculations from the Mayans.

The theory follows the Mayans prediction under the belief that they were using the Julian calendar, which was the main calendar of the time until we switched to the Gregorian calendar in 1582, losing several days a year.

Therefor . . . “Following the Julian calendar, we are technically in 2012.”

Soooo, if that’s correct, the believed date of December 21, 2012 world’s end is actually June 21, 2020 — as in THIS Sunday.

Because, obviously.
