After 5 Years Of Service, Vader Retires From Clarksville Police Department

K9 Vader has been with the Clarksville PD since 2017 and he was relieved from his duties January 5th, 2023, according to Clarksville Now.

When Officer Casey Stanton and Vader met for the first time, there was an instant bond between the two.  They immediately went to a 6-week patrol/detection law enforcement training course.  After the 6 weeks were over, the two were inseparable, that’s when they hit the ground running.

K9 Vader and Officer Stanton went through hundreds of hours of training and patrol work on the streets of Clarksville.

Sadly, due to medical issues, K9 Vader had to retire.  But thankfully, Officer Stanton volunteered to adopt Vader and with a unanimous vote from the Clarksville City Council that wish was granted.  Vader will spend the rest of his life with Officer Stanton and his family.
