2016 CMA Awards nominees announced

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) – Keith Urban and Dierks Bentley announced the nominations for the 2016 CMA Awards Wednesday morning. The announcement took place at the Grand Ole Opry house around 7:30 a.m. Entertainer of the year nominees include Garth Brooks, Luke Bryan, Chris Stapleton, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban. Nominees for female vocalist of the year include Kelsea Ballerini, Miranda Lambert, Maren Morris, Kacey Murgraves, and Carrie Underwood. Nominees for male vocalist of the year include Dierks Bentley, Eric Chruch, Tim McGraw, Chris Stapleton, and Keith Urban. Joey and Rory were one of five nominees for vocal duo of the year. Joey Feek died this year after a long battle with cervical cancer. Click here for the full list of nominations.  The CMA Awards will be held November 2 and will air on News 2.
