10 Things to Look Forward to This November, and a Bonus

[Insert “Can you believe it’s November?” comment here]

But, it is November. Like, BAM!

While we’re all likely counting down to Thanksgiving and figuring out our Christmas shopping budgets, there are some pretty fun things coming out way this month.

Get pumped, because November means . . .

1. We got an extra hour of sleep over the weekend, so that’s already a WIN for the week!

2. Veterans Day is November 11.

3. If you’re looking to hit up a theater to get your movie watching on, there are some good options . . . “Terminator: Dark Fate” opened this past weekend . . . “Doctor Sleep” and “Last Christmas” will hit theaters Nov. 8 . . . “Noelle” is out Nov 12 . . . “Charlie’s Angels” will be out Nov. 15 . . . “Frozen 2” and “A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood” open Nov 22.

4. Get your bingewatching on at home with the new Disney Plus streaming platform, launching Nov. 12. The new streaming platform will be premiering several new shows — like “High School Musical: The Musical: The Series” . . . Pixar’s “Forky Asks a Question” . . . and the “Star Wars” universe’s “The Mandalorian”.

There’s a live-action adaptaion of “Lady and the Tramp” on the way, and they have a “Lizzie McGuire” reboot in the works.

LIZZIE MCGUIRE!!!

Enough said!

5. Other watchable-from-the-comfort-of-your-home options include “The Little Mermaid Live!” special on ABC tomorrow (11/5) . . . The Dr. Seuss inspired series “Green Eggs and Ham” hits Netflix on Friday (11/8) . . . Dolly Parton’s Grand Ole Opry special airs on NBC Nov. 26 . . . and you know there are going to be a slew of holiday specials airing all month.

If you’re into award shows, November holds a couple big ones — There’s the “E! People’s Choice Awards” happening Nov. 10 . . . the “53rd Annual CMA Awards” airs Nov. 13 on ABC . . . and the “American Music Awards” are on ABC Nov. 24.

6. There aren’t a ton of big sporting events this month — aside from the usual week-to-week NFL games and College games — but the Major League Soccer championship game will be played Nov. 10. It’s between Seattle and Toronto and will air on ABC.

7. November isn’t playing around when it comes to new music. We have a slew of albums coming our way: Miranda Lambert dropped “Wildcard” on Nov. 1 and it was worth the wait! . . . Also dropped last week (on Nov. 1) was Darius Rucker giving us a new Hootie & the Blowfish album called “Imperfect Circle” and The Mavericks dropped “Play the Hits” . . . Luke Combs i giving us “What You See Is What You Get” on Nov. 8 . . . Lady Antebellum drops “Ocean” on Nov. 15 . . . and we get Jason Aldean’s aptly named upcoming album “9” on Nov. 22.

8. THANKSGIVING!!! Obviously . . . Thanksgiving falls on the fourth Thursday of November every year, and this year it’s Nov. 28.

9. If you’re looking to get your random holiday on with various holidays this month, some of your options include: today (11/4) is National Candy Day . . . Nov 5 is National Doughnut Day . . . Nov  is National Nachos Day . . . Nov. 10 is National Vanilla Cupcake Day . . . Nov. 14 is National Pickle Day AND National Spicy Guacamole Day . . . Nov. 15 is National Clean Out Your Refrigerator Day . . . National Fast Food Day is Nov. 16 . . .  Nov 28 is National French Toast Day . . . and more.

10. Let us not forget the shopping and deals!! Friday, November 29 is Black Friday (holiday shopping deals) . . . Saturday, November 30 is Small Business Saturday (local holiday shopping deals) . . . and Monday, December 2 is Cyber Monday (online holiday shopping deals) . . . and let’s be real, the whole weekend after Thanksgiving is a good time to find some good deals for your holiday shopping needs.

Bonus. The weather is crisp and cool and the outdoor colors are gorgeous. November is screaming to get out and hike. Even and indoor cat like Jai is hearing the call!! Hit up All Trails for some hiking suggestions based on your hiking needs, wants and desires.
