Will THIS Technology be Coming to Hoptown?

You’re checking out your groceries when you start getting your card out early. Anything to make the process quicker and easier for all involved. New technology is aiming to make checking out faster and easier, but will you be willing to take part?

Whole Foods will be rolling out a new system that will allow you to check out using your palm print. Immediately you begin to think of “what could happen if your palm print gets into the wrong hands”… etc.

Is there a legitimate reason to be suspicious or have we watched too many movies?

Will this technology make identity theft easier or harder?

The store will be rolling out this new option to check out in 500 of its stores by the end of the year. Even though the closest Whole Foods is in Nashville one has to wonder if the rest of the stores will soon follow suit.
