Sing for the Ring Contest Rules


Beginning at 5:00pm on April 9, 2013 through 5:59PM on April 18, 2013, you can attempt win one of three prizes.  One person will win a ring valued at $2,500 retail to be provided by Ashcroft & Oak.  One person will win ballroom rental at the James E. Bruce Convention Center valued at $750 based on availability, and one person will win a $300 gift card for The Lodge Sports Pub.  The contest is open to those who hold a valid article of state identification and are 21 years of age or older and those 21 or older with a valid Military I.D.

To attempt to win, one must listen weekdays for the contest cue to call.  When it airs, the 10th person to call 270-697-1003 or 1-877-999-9887 will be asked to sing 10 seconds of his or her favorite love song.  That person will then be named a qualifier.  From all qualifiers, 3 random drawings will be conducted to select the winner of each prize on April 19.  The first drawing will determine the winner of the $2,500 ring.  Winner of ring must choose between 3 styles supplied by Ashcroft & Oak.  Winner will have to sign a release form and complete affidavit for Rogers & Hollands Jewelers.  Delivery of ring from supplier may take 4-6 weeks following completion of winner forms.  The second random drawing from amongst the remaining qualifiers will determine the winner of the ballroom rental at the James E. Bruce Convention Center.  The third random drawing from amongst the remaining qualifiers will determine the winner of the $300 Lodge Sports Pub gift certificate.  Persons may only win one prize.  Prizes must be claimed no later than 5pm on July 31, 2013.  Winners are responsible for all taxes and fees.  Complete WVVR contest rules apply and are available at beaver1003.com.

WVVR contests are open to those who have not won anything on WVVR in the past 30 days or any prize valued at $600 or more in the past 6 months. Only one winner per household is permitted within 30 days after a household has a winner. Any prize awarded to an ineligible listener will be deemed null and void, and an alternate eligible winner may be named.

Employees of WVVR, SAGA COMMUNICATIONS OF TUCKESSEE, and its ultimate parent company, Saga Communications, Inc., their advertising agencies, affiliates, contest sponsors, employees and immediate families of each, and employees of all media of mass communication within a one hundred mile radius of the WVVR main studio are not eligible to win any contest.  Immediate family includes the spouse, great-grandparents, grandparents, parents, brothers, sisters, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren of the employee and his/her spouse. This also includes individuals for whom the employee is current legal guardian.
