What road in Clarksville is in need of traffic relief?

So, I’m driving home and every single time, I get to Providence and I just feel my blood pressure raise….traffic is  ALWAYS backed up from about the Pawn Shop on Providence to about the bridge just before you get to Riverside.  I did some research and found that Clarksville is the 3rd fastest growing city in Tennessee, just behind Murfreesboro and Franklin.

Here’s some stuff I found

Fastest growing cities with a population greater than 50,000:

Data compares population from U.S. Census Bureau from April 1, 2010 to July 1, 2016.

  1. Murfreesboro – 18%
  2. Franklin – 16%
  3. Clarksville – 12%
  4. Hendersonville – 10%
  5. Nashville – 9%
  6. Kingsport – 9%
  7. Bartlett – 7%
  8. Chattanooga – 6%
  9. Johnson City – 5%
  10. Knoxville – 4%
  11. Jackson – 3%
  12. Memphis – 1%

With rapid growth comes the traffic!  I’m sure the city is working on these problems, but it’s just kinda a pain in the behind when you have to get your son from Liberty Elementary off Dover Road then take him for an after school activity off Alfred Thun Rd.

Take this poll with me!

Monica
