Those born between 1977 and 1983 may not be Gen Xers or Millennials

We all know about Generation X and Millennials right??  Gen Xers are those born in late 60’s to early 80’s.  Millennials are born between early 80’s and mid 90’s.  If you were born on the cusp of these two generations, do you identify with either group?  (I personally like to call this group the Oregon Trail Generation) It’s a generation of people that grew up between two very different generations.

it’s kinda like going from analog to digital.

There is a professor that says those born between 1977-1983 may need to be classified differently.  Here’s why…You adapted quickly during the technology boom AND were the last generation to grow up without technology, embraced texting and social media.  You remember using Walkmans and VCRs, but you also loved Ipods and DVDs. Just like Gen-X, you recorded songs off the radio but we love using iTunes and Spotify.  It’s the best of both worlds!

All these reasons is why the professor says we should now now classifying people born between 1977 and 1983 as Xennials.
