The king of bugs, the baddest bug in Tennessee.  This bug eats bees, wasps and on occasion, hummingbirds!

Also known as the Red-Footed Cannibalfly, the bee panther may be seen on the hunt this time of year.

A Tennessee woman took a picture of the bug eating a wasp in her car. Believe it or not, it’s actually a very common fly in the south. It spends its days hunting for bugs and sometimes it even hunts down hummingbirds.

Fortunately, the fly is not known for going out of its way to bite and attack humans. However, it will bite if you try to catch it.
