Stealthy classroom chat replaces the old fashioned note passing!

Remember passing notes in class or in the hallways?  You’d get that neatly folded note with “LYLAS” and your name on it?  Looks like that is a thing of the past, thanks to AirPods.

I’m not going to lie, I love my AirPods, they are GREAT for the gym!!

There is a new way of communicating in secret while class is in session!  A teenager on TikTok offered instructions on the stealthy teacher-defeating classroom communications technique in a video that had more than two million views.

Here’s the way it works…for parents and teachers who want to know!  Looks like I may be ruining communications in the class room for Gen Z.

Kids who want to chat in silence with each other need to do…exchange the left or right AirPod with each other. Then they can type a message into Google Translate and then press the play button to read it out. The trick works particularly well if you have long hair because AirPods are very small and hard to notice.

Watch the video HERE.

This method still means that students have use their phones…secretly, without the teacher noticing…This kinda poses the question, “so why not just send text messages instead?”  That is a question I can’t answer!

On a different note…AirPods can do more than just listen to your favorite music, you can listen in on convos….only drawback, you have to “accidentally leave your iPhone in a room that you want to listen in on.  Sneaky, sneaky!!

Be on the look out for unattended iPhone’s in a room!
