Shania Twain’s one big regret!

Shania Twain was doing some press last week when she mentioned that Prince once offered to produce an album for her.  It was after she and her husband/producer Mutt Lange had broken up.  She wasn’t writing a lot of music, and was also suffering from a vocal cord disorder called dysphonia, which made it almost impossible to sing.  Basically, she was in a bad place.

She said quote, “He was calling me and mailing me, but I wasn’t ready to do the album.  He said, ‘Come to my studio, let’s get started,’ and I just said, ‘I can’t sing right now, I just don’t have my voice yet.’  And I never did it.”

When she was ready, Prince was on tour . . . and then they just never reconnected.  She said, quote, “If I ever had professional regret, that is definitely one of them.”
