In a new survey, 74% of Americans say they like eating hot sauce with their food, with 45% using it at least once a week. But people in some areas use it more than others.
Instacart looked at their sales data over the past year . . . and ranked every state based on how much hot sauce they ordered.
The state that ordered the most was: North Dakota. Instacart sold 5.8 ounces of hot sauce per customer there. New Mexico was second . . . followed by Colorado, California, North Carolina, Oregon, Wyoming, and Minnesota.
The state that ordered the least was: Hawaii. The people there ordered just 1.3 ounces per customer. Iowa ordered the second-least hot sauce . . . followed by Arkansas, Oklahoma, Rhode Island, Utah, and South Dakota.
Instacart also used their data to compile a list of America’s Favorite Hot Sauces. Huy Fong Sriracha is #1, followed by Frank’s RedHot . . . Cholula . . . Burman’s . . . Tapatio . . . Tabasco . . . Texas Pete . . . Heinz . . . Louisiana . . . and Valentina.
