Sam Hunt arrested in Nashville

Sam Hunt was arrested on Thursday morning in Nashville on charges of driving under the influence and having an open container.

The Cedartown, Georgia native was pulled over early Thursday morning.  Police received a report that a vehicle was going the wrong way on a one way in East Nashville.  In a report from WKRN-TV, the officer said Sam Hunt smelled of alcohol, had bloodshot eyes and tried to give his credit card when the officer asked for his driver’s license.

Hunt was allegedly driving south in the northbound lanes of Ellington Parkway near Ben Allen Road and swerving in and out of his lane. Along with the DUI, 2 empty beers cans or bottles were next to him in the console and he admitted to drinking alcohol “recently,” reports WKRN.

His blood alcohol level was .173.  He was booked at Metro jail at about 6:30  AM.

Less than three hours later he was released on $2,500 bond. Sam will have to appear in court on Jan. 17, 2020.
