Mullets are coming back whether you like it or not

I can’t say that I ever had a mullet, I much preferred the “Dorothy Hamill” haircut.  You couldn’t go anywhere in the 80’s without seeing a mullet haircut on someone.  They were everywhere!!!  Boys, girls, teachers, parents…just about everyone had a mullet!  The thing is, I’ve been through this style already…do I really want to relive it??  What’s old is new again!

Back In the ’80s, I don’t even know if we even called it a mullet. I just remember feathering our hair and when it feathered awesome (as i got older and grew out of the Dorothy Hamill) I felt fabulous!!  My sides were chopped and layered so I’d take my curling brush and aqua net hair spray and spray till the ozone had a hole in it!

It’s the ole famous joke…business-in-the-front-party-in the back that can be achieved now!  People are embracing this style for real and I’m not sure if I really want this style to come back!  I did know some people who could rock a mullet!

On the one hand, it’s nostalgic for sure. I mean, who didn’t have a crush on someone from the ’80s with the haircut?  I mean, it was hard not to love AC Slater for his beautiful locks of love!  Look at Billy Ray Cyrus!  Totally rocked the look even into the early 90’s!

Another advantage to the hair do is the mullet offers some variety too!  You can still sport a pony tail, it’s a great way to keep your hair off your neck on a scorching day or out of your face while you work!

Although many people just aren’t feeling the look and think it should go away and never come back!  Because of popular shows like Stranger Things, they are rising from the dead!

But just look at these contemporary mullets!  Studs here!

There is even an Instagram page dedicated to mullets!  I mean, who am I to judge…it’s fabulous in their own way!

I mean seriously, Morgan Wallen has single handed brought back the mullet!  We love Morgan and he looks FABULOUS!!
