The Palomino’s iconic neon sign will shine bright once again!! Country music trio Midland will revive the iconic North Hollywood club next month for one night only.
The closed honky-tonk, once was known as the country music capital of the West, will serve as the site of Midland’s October 15 show! It’s all in celebration of the band’s 2nd album, “Let It Roll.”
The Pal” was known as the California counterpart to the Ryman Auditorium…but the club closed in 1995. Legends including Patsy Cline, George Jones, Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, Waylon Jennings and Jerry Lee Lewis all performed in the building, which has remained as a banquet hall.
The honky-tonk was given new life around this time last year when musicians Jim Lauderdale, Rosie Flores and James Intveld, who played there decades ago, performed an October benefit concert ahead of the Palomino’s 70th anniversary.
For Midland’s show, the original Palomino sign will again be brought out of the Valley Relics Museum and be put on display.
