PEOPLE confirms that Sam Hunt’s wife, Hannah Lee Fowler, has withdrawn her divorce complaint against him. According to court documents, she withdrew the complaint just hours after filing in Tennessee on Friday. She requested that the petition be “voluntarily nonsuited without prejudice” — meaning she can file for divorce again in the future.
Hannah Lee Fowler’s lawyers did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
She initially filed for divorce on Feb. 18, alleging that Hunt cheated on her.
Fowler claimed Sam was guilty of “inappropriate marital conduct” and “adultery” in Tennessee court documents. The documents state, “that all hopes of reconciliation are exhausted.”
UPDATE
It came out that Hannah WITHDREW her divorce petition hours after filing them on Friday. But it wasn’t because she had a change of heart. She only did it because the papers were filed in the WRONG Tennessee county.
About as soon as you could say “inappropriate marital conduct”, she filed them again in the correct county. It sounds like her overpriced lawyers realized they messed up, and had to do some scrambling.
It’s not clear which was the right or wrong county, but it doesn’t really matter.
