Guess what the temperature in Kodiak, Alaska was on Sunday?

On Sunday, the temperature in Kodiak, Alaska, hit 67 degrees Fahrenheit, setting a December record-high.

The temperature readings in Kodiak was 67 degrees but the previous record high temperature of 45 degrees was set on Dec. 26, 1984, according to the National Weather Service.

The National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration says, Alaska is warming faster than any other U.S. state and twice as quickly as any place in the world. There have been 5 to 30 times more record-high temperatures set than record lows,” according to the NOAA website.

Imagine you are all bundled up, ready to go out for the day…you get outside and it’s 67 degrees! You go change into shorts.
