Coronavirus cause a spike in popularity of Drive In movies!

More and more movie theaters across the country are forced to close their doors due to the coronavirus outbreak…never fear!  There is an alternative rising to the challenge to take the place of walk in movie theaters, drive-in theaters!

Looks like the ‘50s and ‘60s are coming back!  The number of drive-in theaters back then were in the thousands but have since drastically dwindled, and there are just a handful left in the United States.

But as the CDC recommends social distancing as a means of stopping the spread of the virus, drive-in theater owners in California, Kansas, Oklahoma and Missouri say they’ve seen more people coming to the Drive In.

I see it, could be a little escape for families that are going stir crazy in the house!

Many theaters have taken extra precautions to prevent the spread of disease, including limited or no concessions, and making sure employees wear gloves while handing out tickets.

We’ve got to find a way for the show to go on without gathering in one area!
