Coca Cola is stopping production of TAB by the end of the year

A little of my 1980s childhood died just a little bit more when I read this.  I remember my aunt used to drink this until Coke came out with Diet Coke!

Coca-Cola just announced they’re killing off TAB, which was their first-ever diet soda. It debuted almost 60 years ago but really hit it’s high popularity in the ’70s and ’80s.

It’s fallen off the radar a little bit since then, and lots of other diet sodas have become way more popular but it’s always been around. Now Coca-Cola is getting rid of it along with some of its other, quote, “underperforming” products.

Coca-Cola is getting rid of Tab by the end of the year, so if you’re still a fan or yearn for a bit of nostalgia, it’s time to hoard it if you see it.  I’m thinking Coke will re-introduce it in the form of “Retro” TAB that comes out periodically.  Kinda like throwback Mountain Dew or Pepsi…something like that.

Do you still drink TAB?
